The Group 2 finals of Rotary Young Chef Competition were held at Bournemouth College (Lansdowne) on 5 January. Four teenage girls each cooked two courses in two hours for the judges to taste. Emma Randall, 14, from Avonbourne School was the winner and Laura Clarke from St Edwards School came second.

The dishes were judged by senior lecturer at Bournemouth and Poole College Tony Groves and President of Bournemouth Rotary Club Richard Sedgley. The event was organised by PP Stephen Chappell and Rtn Duncan Gibson of the Club's Youth Activities Committee.
